    Game Camera Purchase

What is most important to you when buying a game camera? There must be a million choices out there and as many price ranges. Is megapixel the most important?

Not for me.Battery life, storage, reliability, and price are what I look at.I have 5 Bushnell trophy cams that I like.

COST......not to mention battery life. I also prefer the infrared as opposed to the standard white flash. Been using a Moultrie for years and have been very pleased. A friend of mine bought a 2.0 megapixel IR camera made by Wildgame Innovations for around $50.00 at Bass Pro. Pictures are okay, but I like the Moultrie better.

Battery Life, Relyability, and easy to use.

Someone once said "buying a Gam Cam is Like buying a Box of Chocklets, You never know what your going to get."

Battery life and storage, & how long life you gt out of it before it craters
I have now switched to the small 4"x6" bushnell it takes 8 AA batteries and supposed to last up to 9 months also can hold a 16gig SD card.
The camera will run on just 4 AA batteries as well.
Images are nice and clear day or night. And so far no problems.
However it is a little early to tell for sure how long it will stay in working order.

I also have a Cudde capture less then 1 year old and the flash doesn't go off sometimes and only getting worse.

I heard that cameras last one or two years before wearing out.

Trigger speed--need a fast one unless you enjoy looking at the south end of a north bound deer!

Reliability too--and every brand will have its fans and nay-sayers. I have 3 Cuddebacks that are 3, 2, and 1 year old without a glitch. But, since they stay out year-round, I suspect I'll lose one soon--but I'll buy another one.

Battery life, cost, reliability, trigger speed and clarity. In that order. Also buy at academy so you can just take it back if it doesn't work, you don't like it or it breaks. Simple as that!

Battery Life and longevity of the camera. Bought a few wildview that were cheap and take good pics but have to replace batteries every three weeks. Didn't take long until they cost me more than an expensive camera.

Battery life is a major item. Batts are expensive.

Battery life and cost. I've had several different kinds and for the cost I like the Moultrie cameras.
