i believe it's a derivative of the old tekan, here's my story on results . . . . . . .
just before the season I bought a three pack, as with all g5 products they were super sharp out of the box. Early season tuning I shot ST's, t3 and rages and all three grouped nicely looking at the penetration at the block the t3 appeared to get about 2-3 more inches then the rage and about an inch less then the ST's on a consistent basis.
Most of the season hunting was for a big buck, the arrow was on my quiver but I didn't want to shoot a big buck with a head I'd never shot before. I chose to have the rage on the quiver for that. However I did happen on a small pig and the head just about cut it in half. small pig so not really a result i'd hang my hat on.
This week I hunted with the head and shot a 125lb pig and a doe and I gotta say WOW. they say give the red carpet treatment and the honest truth is the heads did a ton of damage. I shot a pig first right through the boiler room clipping the plate and it zipped through the hog with no problem and it was like a mop of blood was dragged behind the hog. 30 yard track!
the doe it zipped through and she was down in about 40 yards with about a gallon of blood on the ground. I drove the deer to my camp to be skinned where blood poured out the entire time.
Excellent heads! I'm going after a heavy bodied buck this weekend and will use the t3 with absolute confidence. Damage like a rage but with the stability of a fixed!
