    Monster 7 Paper Tuning

Just got a 2010 Monster 7 and cant get it to paper tune. 2-3 inch nock right tear with downforce rest all the way to the left. 29 inch draw, 60lb weight. Using 350 carbon maxima arrows, 28 inch length with 100gr field tips. The bow belonged to my dad and is in near mint condition. I have tried EVERYTHING to get this bow to tune. No contact issues at all. Any suggestions? When he first got the bow it wouldn't tune right and he eventually had the limbs replaced under warranty by Mathews. The bow tuned great for him after that. We placed the 29 inch mods on for me and now the bow doesn't tune. Mods are on correct. Any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

Are you left handed or right handed? I would check cam lean and make sure you don't have a bad limb.

Right handed bow. I hadn't thought about Cinnamon Creek, but that's not too far from me so I might bring it there. I appreciate the suggestions for different bows, but at this point I am commited to making this thing shoot right.

I was recently made aware that the cable needs to be tuned by twisting one side or the other so that your wheel is in line with your cam. Once you get that, set your center shot and I bet you problem goes away.

Might want to read through this. You're not the first one.

The Mathews thread doesn't exist anymore.Kinda weird, don't you think? Anyway, I did see some threads on the Mathews site that indicated some tuning issues. I think the bow will tune with enough work. I bought a QAD pro series today and will try that. I will post any change or improvement. Thanks for all the comments.

Have the same arrow on a Z7 with same point weight and the tear you indicated suggests a stiff spine. I wonder if you had the paper too far from the bow to get a true indication of the flight as it left the rest?

I would have pro look at it.

Well, I just put a new QAD pro series ultrarest on the bow. This thing is still way off center shot (center shot at 1 inch) but appears to be paper tuning well.

Hand Torque! Try different pressure points on your bow hand until you find one the bow likes.
