Droid X camera help

I don't know if I posted this in the right place but here it goes.... I got a new phone this week and was sitting in the blind today working on the camera and I can't find a place where I can get rid of the silly sound that will spook all deer ?? any help would be appreciated

Good question, I wonder if you put the ringer in silent mode, will it silent the camera action as well??????????????

Nope.... just tried.. only thing I have found online is to download a new camera app or a volume app. I figured I could turn it off like any of my other phones??

I have had the same problem. I have taken my droid to several Verizon stores and gotten the same answer. It can't be done.

When you take a pic just snap the button do not focus by holding the button half way. Pics still come out ok for me
