Should I change arrows or keep what I've got?

I have two bows that I currently shoot. One is a BT Equalizer and the other is a Hoyt Alphamax 32. Both are 50 - 60lb bows.

I'm currently shooting Beman ICS Hunter 500 spine arrows with a length of 26 inches, Blazer vanes and 100 gr points (Field and broadhead). I'm guessing the total arrow weight is around 320 gr. My draw length is 26 inches with both bows. I have the Equalizer at 53 lbs and the AM 32 at 60 lbs. From what I can tell with online arrow calculators and selectors, the 500 spine arrows should be fine with both bows. I'm getting good accuracy at 20, 30, 40 yds. I haven't tried paper tuning nor have I chrono'd either setup.

Given that my current arrows are performing well, is there any good reason to switch to a different arrow? I'm mainly a bowhunter with some thoughts of 3D for the upcoming year. I hunt primarily whitetail deer.

    Thanks!

For you no need to switch.

My hunting bow(2009 alphamax 32 apg) in 29" 74lbs and my 3d bow(2010 maxxis 35 fusion red/black) is 29" 58lbs. I shoot goldtip 75/95 100g points 420 grains in my hunting rig and goldtip pro 22's 80 grain nibs 325 grains in my 3d rig. hunting rig is 297fps 3d rig is 284 fps

DD, hopefully, your 3D rig speed is a typo. Maybe 284fps?

Nope, we have the exact same DL and poundage. I shoot a heavier (400) series arrow for hunting.

Each mfg has a shaft selector that helps you select spines and models that should work. No one that I know of identifies "optimum" spine.

Stick with what you have and when you need new arrows try a heavier spine and see how they shoot and group. Optimum spine is what performs best in your setup and not what some chart says.
