    Grim Reaper

has anyone used the 2"3blade expandables and if so your thoughts. i heard your bow needs to shot at least 300fps. Thanx

I have wondered the same thing, but I would look more at momentum first and then KE when looking at the 2" cut. Speed ain't all it is cracked up to be and this is coming from a reformed speed nut!

I use the Grim Reaper 2 inch. Cut a cannon ball size hole in a doe this year with it. Arrows were Chrono'ed at 255 fps. Great BH IMHO.

I am using them and have been very pleased with the results. Shoots like a field point and I shot a doe with one that was screwed on to a 400 gr.(inc. 100 gr. tip) A/C/C Pro Hunter and flying 284 fps. She was quartering hard away at 26 yards and I put the arrow right behind her last rib and got a exit hole through the offside front shoulder. Not a complete pass through but the arrow did work out that way during the 40 yard death run. When the arrow made contact it knocked her to the ground approximately 4' from where she was standing. The blood trail started immediately and went right up to where she laid. The exit hole through the shoulder blade was about the size of a baseball.

This is not my Doe but was taken with a Grim Reaper 2 inch and that is all I know about the photo. The hole I got in the Doe I kill was about the same just higher up.
