    Crossbow noise

I bought a Barnett Jackyl and it shoots really fast and accurate. I havent fired it at any game so I'm a little leary of the noise and their reaction to it. Does anyone have input on the matter. Is there a way to limit the noise? Is it even worth putting limb savers? Im going to Chaparell in January for the crossbow hunt and want to know what to expect. Thanks.

Most of the time the bolt goes so fast the animals don't have time to react.

I figured someone else would have chimed in. My dads x-bow sounds like a .22 mag and goes dang near as fast. I wouldn't worry about noise as long as the the vibration doesn't affect your shot. If you are hitting the mark, don't worry about noise and just squeeze that trigger.

Thanks alot man, I've got it down now. I'm shooting about a 4 inch group at 50 yards so I should be good.
