I had the same problem with my Rip Cord ... even with mole skin. I solved my problem with a two stage approach: Assuming you have Carbon Arrows>
1. I rubbed down my arrows, fletching to tip seat with DRY Brillow SOS pads that had soap on it. This makes them smooth as a baby's bottom.
PLEASE DISREGARD ... HIT THE WRONG BUTTON ...Last edited by native_texan; 12-01-2010, 02:07 PM.

I had the same problem with my Rip Cord rest ... even with mole skin on it. Cold mornings just don't help ... I used to use saliva too ... doesn't work too well.
I solved my problem with a three-stage approach: Assuming you have carbon arrows >
1. I rubbed down my arrows with DRY Brillo SOS pads that have soap on them. Rub several times from fletching to tip seat until arrow is smooth. This makes them slick as a baby's behind. Don't touch the arrow until you lube it in the next step.
2. Next, I took some arrow lube or crossbow rail lube and lubed the whole length of my arrow from fletching to tip seat.
3. A day before I hunt, I put a generous amount (but don't overload it) of the arrow/rail lube on the mole skin and work it in.
Presto .. no more noise.
Hope this helps .... Good luck on your hunting.
