While cleaning my bow and waxing I found a small crack in the upper limb. It is a bowtech. What do they dip these in. It looks to be only on the surface like a gouge actually. About a milimeter wide and half inch long. Still shoots fine. Is not gotten any larger. Am thinking it was there when i bought it used. What do yall think about shooting it? Could it just be the dip or coating got scratched with a broadhead? That is what it kinda looks like to me.

Could be what you say. What I would do is to carefully cut off the splinter or if it is not a splinter from the limb and just a gouge or little crack, then leave it and put some epoxy on the area until after the season and see if it gets worse after shooting it some. I have done this before and even put black electrical tape over a limb splinter in a 3D tournament and finished the tournament with no problems.

That is what I was thinking of doing. There is no money in the budget for a new bow before with Christmas. It is so small I think it is good. Just need to watch it, however this is my first bow and first full season hunting with a bow. I was thinking a small dab of superglue since I have some here. ???? anyone else experiences. I cant afford a dr bill either for repair of an eye, face or arm either so....

I had the same issue with my Bear. I thought the limbs were cracked but it was just the camo dip. I had the shop check it out and he chipped away enough around the crack to see that it wasnt the limb. After he removed the area arounf the crack, it didnt get any worse so Im just not going to worry about mine, it goes thru some brushy stuff anyway.
