1998 bow - time to upgrade?

    don't know what I don't know - maybe I shouldn't mess that up.

I am still shooting my '98 PSE Thunderbolt, wondering if a 2-3 yr old used bow would be a significant improvement in efficiency, accuracy, noise etc... some of you guys have been through a bunch since '98, any thoughts? I would only spend 300-400.

I've been wondering the same thing , all of my buddies have atleast 3 bows each... I still shoot the same bow, If your bow has no problems and it's been good hunter for you why switch or upgrade ? That's what they tell me , and my reply is why do you guys have several bows then. Because they can. So I myself will get a bow for hogs only and when i deer hunt i will use my first bow.. ?? But really i think i wont have the same accuracy or feel if i start switching from bow to bow.My arrows might not fly right ect....

Well last year I bought a new one (leftover 08 model) and retired the one that I've used since 2000 and there was quite a bit of difference between them as far as hand shock and noise. Don't know if IBO can be translated into efficiency but the old one was rated 315fps, new one 330fps. Accuracy I feel is left up to me.

Go shoot a few and see how you like them. IMO only you can say if you need and upgrade.

I bought a used Diamond Marqiues on ebay, 08 model, $275 with shipping. I got a gret deal since I was shooting an 05 bear, the Diamond is much faster and smoother to draw. Try looking on ebay, just make sure they have 100% feedback, good luck.
