Reusing a Bow String

I have a PSE Moneymaker that is set up for 29" draw length. I am about a 27.5" so I am pretty sure I will have to trade cams to make it fit, but I want to keep the bow string & D-Loop that is on the bow right now. Can I do that or once it goes in a press and the string is undone, is it unusable from that point on?

it is fine. Hoyt is the only bow maker that I know of the requires different strings with different Dls
