    Arrow length question

I went to the archery store yesterday to get some new arrows and have them cut. I was shooting Beeman ICS hunter 340s, but they did not have any, so they recommended Easton N Fuse 340s. I had them cut the arrows to 28" like my Beemans were, but they cut them to almost 29". I did not realize until I got home and went to shoot that they were different lengths. When I shot the arrows, they do not have the same POI. I did not think that 3/4 of an inch would affect the arrow flight that much, but it seems to. My question is, is the arrow length going to make that much difference in the POI? Also, the nock on the new arrows are a little difference. Is the problem the length, the type of arrows, the nock, or possibly all of the above. I am going to take them back to the archery shop later to have them recut, but I am curious about this, as I did not think it would make that big of a difference.

To recut hit arrows you have to take almost 2 in of arrow off. Your arrow diameter changed fro a 19/64 to a 17/64,if u shoot a bisquit u just went from a medium to a small.
U may need to change your nock and rest position, don't know how well it was set up before

or you can have them cut the back end of the arrows, and not have to try to remove the insert. The length difference and possibly the nock difference is what is changing your POI. 3/4 of an inch can make a massive difference in the actual spine deflection when shot.

That is not good. Guess I will post what I bought in the classifieds, and go find some of the beeman ICS hunters that match what I already have. My bow is shooting great, so I don't want to change anything on it, and was reluctant switch arrow brands.

Measure you old arrow from the throat of the nock to the insert to make sure it is 28" and then measure the new arrows the same way and if they are wrong take them back and have them recut to the length that you had requested when you purchased them.

Thanks for the responses. I have gone and bought a dozen Beeman ICS Hunters and had them cut correctly. Everything is shooting great now. Looks like I will be selling the NFused. They are 28 1/2 inches and I have 3 and only 1 has been shot 4 times. Let me know if you are interested.
