    Spin Test BH Wobble

I put my BH's on my arrows to spin test and 2 are perfectly smooth and the 3rd wobbles... I took it off and apart and put it back together and spun again but was still wobbling but felt better than the first time but still wasnt smooth like the 1st two BH's

    Anyone have any troubleshooting tips?

It might be your insert is slightly crooked. I use a gizmo made by the G5 folks called an "A.S.D." - Arrow Squaring Device. It grinds/shaves off just a little of the end of the insert till it's square.
G5 Outdoors products are Built American Tough and Designed To Hunt. G5 makes 100% Steel Tough broadheads and bow hunting accessories.

Try one of the straight running broad heads on that arrow first. If the insert is the probem it will wobble. If it does not then the problem is the broadhead.

If you are replacing blades or putting new ones in make sure you shoot into a target before you go hunting. I used to use Muzzy and i missed a hog once after changing blades because my arrow flew different. I then noticed that if i took the blades out to sharpen or replaced them all together the first shot into the target would be off but after that they seemed to "seat" right and would be dead on. I don't want you to miss like i did, i learned the hard way as usual.

I square up the end of the shaft before glueing the insert in. It seems that is where most of the problem is. Plus use epoxy for your inserts. Spin them in the shaft to get the epoxy evenly coated around the insert.

This probably doesn't apply to your problem since you mentioned replacing the blades but it's something I've noticed when spin testing my Montecs. Because of the cut on contact design and all three sides of the BH come together at the point, sharpening them tends to center the point. I had a couple that didn't spin as well as others but after sharpening them they spun well.

Went home and shot the arrows last night and tried to press my insert hard onto the shaft while turning to try and seat it a little better, but i still had the same problem with the BH wobble. I still havent tried to switch BH to see if one of the other ones would wobble on that arrow, if it doesnt.. then its def. the BH.

it still has wobble.. i shot it and a funny thing happened... i shot too close of a group and sliced my vane off and while it went thru the target it hit the broadhead on the other target and caused my insert and broadhead to fly about 30 yards into my back yard... I still cant find it. I also chipped 2 blades on the Trick that hit the other one that was in the target.

Been meaning to take pics.. just havent gotten around to it.. so I pretty much gave up on this post since i no longer have that head... lol
