Bowtech Carnivore? Any info on them?

I'm looking at getting back into bowhunting after about 10 yrs away from it.
I'm in Germany and really can't afford going out on the economy to buy a bow.( To expensive)I noticed Bowtech has the Military overseas program going on, 500 dollars for the bow and set up and shipped to APO address. Has anybody shot this bow. Is this a good deal?

If your talking about a ross they are good bows.

Bowtech bought Ross, and designed the Carnivore and put the Ross name on it.
Subsequently Ross and Bowtech split, leaving quite a few leftovers so the Carnivore is the stepchild in this deal.
It is a good bow with a smooth cycle, quality parts, and a pretty good deal for $500 setup.

So this would be a good bow for me to get back into bowhunting with? After I leave Germany I'm coming back to TX and would like to use it on some deer or hogs.

I just got in to Bow Hunting this season. I found my Bowtech Carnivore at Hunters Friend for $599.00 ready to hunt with Arrows Broadheads and a Plano hard case. While I am new to the whole Bow Hunting thing I am very happy with my Bow. I got my 1st kill (PIG) opening weekend. The Carnivore is smooth and quiet.

You guys are probably gonna hate me, but I found two more bows so now I'm undecided. The Bowtech Carnivore 31,2010 Bowtech Captain, Diamond Rock 2.0. The Captain is only 125 more from the Military discount program and the Rock 2.0 is 499. Too many decisions.

Should really try and shoot them all before deciding.

I wish I could find an archery shop around here. I won't be back in the states till next yr so I won't be able to find a shop to shoot any of them. I'm just trying to get some opinions from some people here who own one of these models to see what they like or dislike about them.

Also whoever the WOW freak is this is a bowhunting forum not some fag game forum.

Sorry for the tone, but I hate that stupid game.

I shot the bow a few times at GM and liked it alot... it actually felt like it was pulling less weight than what it said. Also very smooth..

I dont think you would be disappointed, just have another bow handy to compare it to...

On the pictures on the Bowtech site the Carnivore looks different then the Ross Carnivore(looks like it's missing the KRANK at the bottom) I thought they were the same bow.

                            Binary to Single Cam

The Bowtech Carnivore is a singlecam compared to the Ross Carnivore Binary. Thats why on Bowtechs website they call it the Carnivore SC 31". Maybe when they changed it to a Single Cam they did away with the krank? Im not exactly sure but thats just what I noticed... hope it helps

                            Anyone know for sure??

So without the Krank is it still as smooth to draw and shoot? Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I'm just trying to get as much info as possible before I shell out the money. I tried to find a good archery shop around here and the closest was about 7 hrs away.
