siting in, site is out of room

i was trying to site in my bow today and almost got it. the site is as old as the bow, about 15 years. it's one of those site that has the pins you move up and down in or out, wow that sounds like all the sites, anyway hope ya'll get what i am saying. so i got my 20 yard pin moved all the way to left as far as it will go. i have been hitting about 8 to 10 inches left of my aiming point. my shots are grouped pretty close together considering i've only shot twice. does this mean i need a new site, or i just need to aim 8 to 10 inches right of where i want to hit, if so that sounds sorta crazy but i am not expert. i've been looking at new site the redhead kryptic sense it's on sale. now if i get this site will i have the same issue or will it be better since it is alot newer. thanks in advance guys.

If you have an adjustable arrow rest, try moving it to the right a little bit.

this might sound silly but i have now idea what arrow rest i have, i know it has a little piece that sticks out just enough for the arrow to site on, it looks like it can only be adjusted to go up or down either raising the arrow or lowering at bit, i really dont' think it can move it left to right, hope that makes sense

Sound like you have a older bow with the plastic finger on it. Is there a hole were the old rest sits?

yeah that sounds like a good description lonester88, it's sorta like a finger, and yes there is a little bolt on the other side, i was also thinking of getting one of the NAP arrow rest(i think the APACHE is the one i was looking at) because of there military program, can get one for next to nothing.

do you have a plunger, if so that might need some adjusting, the plunger would be the thing that sits above the rest, and you should be able to screw it out or in.

I don't think a new sight will help much as they will not adjust much more than your brass pins will.

This is my first year bow hunting and my set up sounds alot like your. I was able to get mine sighted in though. Im good out to 30 yards. Of course I know it will be alot different when I am putting the pin on a live deer versus a target. If I was'nt going through a new home purchase that is set to close in the next two weeks I would be buying a new bow right now.
My bow is a 12 year old Martin.
