    Expensive quivers?

I need a new quiver and have been looking on line for a good one. I will probably go with a Quickie if I can't find a good pack type. But my question is are the ones that are over $100 worth it? Am I missing something here? Save the "you get what you pay for" comments, I want to know what makes them better than a $40 one. I don't mind spending the $ but I don't want to waste it either.

I just bought a new bow and said I will get what ever works best regardless of price(with in reason) so $100+ was expected for a quiver and after accepting the fact I could spend that much. Look are hard at the Fuse quivers, I ended going with the Alpine SoftLok 5 arrow quiver. The same one I have had on my last two bows. I don't think you can beat it for being quiet and easy use. Plus it has a tree adaptor if you take the quiver off and a belt attachment if you want a hip quiver. Versatile, effective and inexpensive.

I'm using the Octane 2 piece. Love it worth the money, BUT with the magnets in it's way on the heavy side. With foam in its a little on the heavy side. Rocky's using a 2 piece by Trophy Ridge that is light and seems to be very well built at a cheaper price. I dont care for Quickey, But Bohning Lynx makes a great detatchable quiver at a reasonable price.

IMO the thing thats makes them worth the money is a GOOD foam insert that (1) lasts a lont time (2) doesnt come unglued ever (3) is designed for easy arrow removal and replacement.
I want a quiver that has NO loose parts for mounting on bow (just another thing to reaatle and I HATE rattling on my bows)
I also want my quiver to have an easy frame to hang in a tree or from a nail in the tree stand..

Last and most important for my new Z7 I want a quiver that is structurally strong and built to last..but still LIGHTWEIGHT! this is a big selling point for me on a quiver, I dont want the added weight.

        just my .02

No expert here but as I see it.. it is about quiet removal and reassembly, quiet and vibration reducing during the shot, good looks and celebrity endorsement.

Honestly I had a few Qwikee quivers and I liked them just fine. On a few deals and trades I've ended up with a Mathews T-5 quiver which had great looks, matching camo and brand (cliché.. yeah) and that spiffy claw fixture to detach nice and easy.. oh yeah and harmonic dampers here and there.. well, I'm not sure what percentage of all the added gear was actually a working feature or COW add ons, but it sure looked cool.

I currently have the Octane with the magnetic stuff.. Only problem I see is that the finish is so dang gorgeous I don't think I may want to take it out to the field douring the season and being afraid of getting it scratched and end up crying like a little girl!! The magnetic alignment is nice, but I like more the detachment features of the Qwikee.

So bottomline... if you are not much into spiffy looks and matching gear.. get the Qwikee.
