    Horton Hunter XS Crossbow Question

I reciently bought a Horton Hunter XS Crossbow and have been looking for information on it online and can not find much. What i have found is that Horton is a good brand but at some time in the past they have had recalls. I have never owned a crossbow or shot one and any information about bow hunting or this exact model would be apprecieated.

Also please send me links that could help too.

    Thanks.

I guess first i should have said hi to all of yall. This forum has tons of info on it and not only hunting. I have noticed that there is talk about carpet grass, hunting, computers, and pretty much everything. Im sure i will learn about not only hunting.

I have hunted so far with a 7mm mag and since in tx we can hunt with a crossbow now during bow season i figured i could get a jump on the bucks that i have been watcing on my game cameras. I have never hunted with a compound bow and figure at this time I would not have enough days to learn how to shoot one well so i figured go the easy rout with a crossbow.

I have been looking more at the forum and have noticed that most ppl on here dont use crossbows. I have been finding a lot of information on the net on what i need to know. If anyone has info on the Horton Hunter XS please let me know. I have found that it is 200lb pull and about 320-300 fps. Should shoot well. I have found the specs on it and it seems to be good but im just wondering if anyone has used it or knows anyone that has used it. On this forum ppl like the tenpoint crossbow and the excallibur (sp?).

I hope i have posted this in the right forum on here

      Hey Brother,

      Welcome to the site....

As for the X-bow, I have nothing to offer... I have never even shot one but I have seen a few on here talking about X-bows and maybe they will come along shortly and can help you out....

Good luck to you this fall!!!
