I'm going to be getting back into slingin arrows again... its been about 10 years. I shot alot from about age 10 - 14. then outgrew my bow and never picked up another one. anyhow going to be getting one here pretty quick. going to head to west houston archery to feel a few different bows. what do you think... jump right in with the z7 ?

I hear that's a great bow. Whichever you choose, good luck, and welcome back.

I looked at one today while having a new string stop put on. $849, ouch. Still, I'm probably going to pick on up later on this year. Is the $849 in the ballpark? I don't mind paying extra for the convienence of the local shop. I just don't want to get taken too badly.

Look at all the makes and models the shop has to offer and shoot as many as you can to determine which bow YOU like, not what someone else likes. Do not limit yourself to just a couple of models to try. Do not settle, the more you lie the feel of the bow, the way it draws and shoots, the better you are going to be with it. Again, lots of good makes and models to choose from so it is not an easy process to choose the right bow for you, unless you just shoot one and not worry about what others have to offer.
