    Question for Easton FMJ shooters

I used and was very happy with Easton Nano shafts with by 70 lb Dren Bow. I sold the bow and arrows last year after a shoulder injury and got a 60 lb XLR8. I have more speed than I need with the new bow and am looking to turn some of the speed into more punch. What are the reports from users on the life of the FMJs. Rumors of them bending easily raises concerns, is it true they do not hold up well ? I shoot foam, and hunt. Loosing an arrow to game is ok but loosing them to foam is another.

What I'm shooting right now. Haven't seen one bend yet. Shoot almost everyday. I have my block up on a stand to simulate the height of a deer. Gotta figure something else out cause I'm knocking the block off the stand at 25 yds. They hit extremely hard and drive deep!!! I'm sold on em myself. I'm shooting the cabelas brand block target. It's decent I guess but with my muzzy's I'm driving them in within 4"'or so of my vanes. You can here them hit too. That's at 25 yds as well. I did have one vane rip off but that's my only complaint at this time.

yeah, i just penetrated a 4x4 fence post in my back yard with one the other day, bad shot on my bag hanger. i had to take a hammer to my field point and bang it out. then take a screw driver and push the rest out. the arrow is just fine. If that doesn't show durability, i don't know what does.

I've been shooting them for a few years now and I don't see any difference in the breakage rate with them vs. regular Axis ST's.

I too, have shot them for a couple of years and they are better than most. In fact just bought another dozen yesterday.

Thanks to everyone. I stopped and got a half dozen on the way home to try out. Now just have to order some more Fletch Flex vanes for them.

I have been useing them since they came out and have never had any complaints. I shoot the 250DG's now out my Monster. They are extremely durable and hard hitting.

very hard hitter. first shot on a brand new yellow jacket fieldpoint bag and it was a complete passthough @ 25yds. no bends, no breaks, and the fletching was intact.

I've been pleased with them so far. I'm shootin 400s out of my Drenalin 27.5" draw. The speeds not great but they are very quiet and hit hard. Also, i'm getting better arrow flight due to them carrying their weight alot better.

Jbs, I shot the fmj's before I picked up your setup. Lemme tell you, I like the st-axis shafts much better. Never liked the fact that they are able to bend.

Well, mixed results so far. Of the six I got one had a bulge in the aluminum. Waiting to see what the dealer finds out about warranty. I had only enough vanes left to fletch 4, more vanes on the way. The finished arrow is 495 grs. That is making them with no extra weight built in. My other arrow is a Flatline with total weight at 400 grs. Shooting both arrows at my full rut buck I get the same arrow penetration depth. Set after set they are the same. Not sure I have gained anything other that the M5 is a little quieter but not by much. I think the velocity loss of the FMJ equals it out with the Flatline.
