    Easton ACC spine question

I am shooting ACC 360 at 27 3/4 length from insert to split in nock, with 28 inch draw at 68-70pds. My arrow currently sticks out 2 inches past rest at full draw with trophytaker rest. Can I cut my arrow down any more, and if I do, will I gain that much speed and is there such a thing as being overspined. If the chrono is right, I'm only getting 266 fps out of XT. I know I'm shooting heavy arrow, but just wondering if I would gain any positives out of cutting down more. I also am looking at getting a QAD rest and this might affect how much I can cut it down. Any opinions or suggestions. No I'm not getting a new bow for those that are thinking that!

I'm assuming Switchback XT, @ 28 inch draw on cam, actual DL will be 28 1/2, making arrow length of 26 3/4 giving you 1 inch past rest.
3-60 weight of 9.5 gpi, will gain app.2.5-3 fps by cutting 1 inch and stiffen shaft a little, but spine will be good.
Too stiff is rare with even a SC bow that has good nock travel.

I thought it would be rare to overspine. I was shocked that it was 266fps. Does that sound about right for my set up? Can someone calculate my kinetic energy? I'm shooting 100 grain tips with 3 blazers and half wraps.

        Your arrow will weigh (right now) right at 405 grains +/-, so 266 x 266 x 405 divided by 450,240 = 63.646 lbs K.E.

Rocky, is that good or bad? What is high end and low end for North American big game?

You're good for anything in N. America I'd think.
