My son's first real bow.

I bought him a Diamond Razor Edge. I know the accessories on it are junk but it seemed to fit what we were needing at an okay price. It has a wide draw length adjustment and draw weight range and he shot it pretty well. I was surprised how quiet it was too. He is only shooting at 40 lbs right now but hopefully he can get up to 50 by the time I'm ready to put him on stand. I took him to the Hunter Ed class over the weekend so I may put him on a pig stand in a few weeks. It should kill a few animals for him during his growth years.

Bought my wife the 08 Edge used and I think you will be very happy as the specs and bow are practically the same. The accessories will be ok for now. The draw length is so easy to change and the weight is so variable. Good bow for the money.

My son shoots an Edge as well. It has been very good for him. Your son will enjoy it and he will have plenty of room to grow with it. Better accessories are great birthday and christmas gifts.

That is true about the holiday/birthday options. The fact it is as quiet as it is amazed me too.
