    Axis FMJ arrows

I just got some Axis FMJ's on Sunday. Shot at a few targets yesterday, hit one in the 10 ring and I guess there was a fiberglass rod or something in the target, but anyway my arrow hit it and mushroomed the end of it a little bit. I had done quite a bit of reading up on these arrows before I bought them, and that was the only negative thing I found. The hidden inserts are supposed to help with broadhead alignment, but I hope they don't damage easily. Has anyone else had problems with this?

Fmj arrows are tough. I think you will like them after you shoot them for a while.

FMJ's are all I use for hunting and for indoor target. I did have one punch threw a target and hit a wall whenshooting indoor. It mushroomed a little. I use it for squirrels. They don't take much of a beating from the side. Shot a squirrel and the arrow flopped over hard on a rock or something hard and broke. Also had one clip another arrow in a target and break in middle. Still my favorite arrow.

The regular Axis I had mushroomed upon impact with anthing solid. I switched to GT Hunters and have been really happy so far. My damaged arrows now are from robin hoods, but thats Rockys fault for tuning my Destroyer so well....
