Let me start off by saying I absolutely love my Ultra Rest. I've only had it for a day and I'm smitten with it's ease of use and functionality. The only thing that bugs me a little is there is a very noticable "click" when I reach full draw. Is this normal? If so, has it ever spooked an animal on you in the woods? It's not exactly a loud click, maybe as loud as taking a gun off safety. Up until now I've always used the old prong style rests with the plastic sleeves .

Q: My LD/HD is “sticking” or “popping” when I draw back my bow from the Drop Away position?
A: This is normal. When the Launcher drops away, an internal brake wedges into a cam causing the "Lock-Down" effect eliminating any chance of unwanted "bounce back". When you use the Thumbwheel to rotate the Launcher to the Capture position you will feel a "stick" due to the fact you are "disengaging" the brake from the cam. (this disengagment process is what causes the arrow to pop if the Launcher is drawn form the Drop Away position)
We recommend rotating the Thumbwheel while nocking an arrow; it will become habit in no time!

Yes, I've been flipping it up before shooting. I shot the bow around thirty times tonight and honestly, the click wasn't as noticeable outside with the crickets chirping, wind blowing, other outside noises etc. Still, there is a click. I've decided to forget about it and shoot. I think I was making a big deal over nothing.

mine did the same thing. i placed a drop or 2 of 3-1 oil between the thumb wheel and the rest of the housing. work the rest up n down (i took the timing cord and put enough tension on it for the rest to "snap down" like it does during a shot) it will take a few times before it stops but it will stop.
