You stole it for $500 (or he did).....

The one I shot was sweet!! Just hope it isn't the left hand version...... Been hearing about alot of tuning issues with the lefties.

That is my NEXT one, relegating the Switchback to my "back-up" bow. The archery shops start that bow at around $850, so at $500, you stole it for sure.

Love mine it has shot without problems from day one and will put arrows deep in critters with Rage broadheads(look at Big Boar Down on the Brazos in bowhunting reports) cant go wrong with the Monster

I have a LH 70lb. 6.0 that I bought last year that is one sweet bow...used it on the elk in my avatar and had full penetration through both shoulders with a 100gr. Slick Trick.

Liked it so much that I bought a LH 80lb blacked out XLR8 a few weeks ago that had to be sent back at Matthews because of some big tuning issues. I have faith they will fix right as they have had a few hiccups lately.

Great price on the bow and good luck with it!

i finally got it all tuned today and man i just love this thing. I use to have a PSE X-Force and i loved the speed it had i just hated the way the cam's work on that you pull your full draw and it's like your fighting the cam at the end of your draw....

That was definitely a steal of a deal! I've shot the Monster 7.0 quite a bit and was very impressed with it. If I hadn't of gone with the Destroyer 350, I'd probably be shooting the M7 for hunting this year.

My buddy and I both shoot Monster 7.0. It's a sweet bow and dead in the hand.
Speeds range from 292 to 314fps at 62lbs/29" with 386 to 460.(-/+) grain arrows.

Man, I hope you have better luck than I did with the one I bought...

And anyone comtemplating getting a Monster 7.0 I'd HIGHLY advise reading through this thread... I got one from the Bow Zone and Richard tried everything to tune it. We sent it back to Mathews, and they supposedly changed the lower limbs... sent back center shot measurements that they recommended we start tuning with that when set up with their measurements, meant that the arrow was sitting WAY outside of true centershot... Richard finally was able to get it to shoot field points, but when we started on broadheads... it corkscrewed everything we tried. Changing the rest did not make the point of impact change with anything close to what would be expected... Mathews never did anything else for me. The Bow Zone stepped up and offered to swap it for any other bow I may want to try, or give me 100% of my money back... I wound up with a Destroyer 340, and so far am very satisfied with it.

Here's the link to a thread on the Mathews web site, and when you read through it, you will see that it does not only apply to leftys... If you get a good one, you're lucky, if not, unless your pro shop will stick by you... as far as Mathews is concerned, you're stuck with it.... Good luck.

just got home form the bow zone

went to the bow zone yesterday to have them tune my monster 7.0, didnt have time to shoot it there yesterday. I just got done from shooting it out back, the first set it at 20yd's and the second set is a 30yd's, and its pretty windy out, first time to shoot this bow at 30yd's shot all these arrow back to back no rest in between shots. i have it set at 68 1/2lbs after about 5 or 6 arrows it starts getting hard to hold. hahahaha....

Just got my XLR8 back from Matthews after 3 weeks...they didnt send a spec sheet saying what they did to the bow but it came back shooting bullet holes. Your story had me worried but they were able to fix it.
