As of October 2008 Firenock LLC no longer make any lighted nock that use Magnet, the rights to that was sold to Firenock International which sell the magnetic Firenock anywhere except US. Firenock in US uses a G-Force sensor to turn on or off. There is also the Firenock Target/3D system which will shut off on its own after 17 seconds. The major difference of Firenock compare to any is that you can field change its battery, its nock, guts (between hunting system and target system), and not to mention up to 54 colors of light to start.

I've never noticed a difference either. I also made my own following instructions from a thread on this site and they cost about half as much.
