    $70 to fletch 11 arrows???!!!

My wife was kind enough to pick up my arrows from Allstar Archery in Lewisville, when she called me with the bill.....I fell over, $6.40 an arrow for 4'' vanes. These Beaman ICS 340's new are $75 with vanes and nocs!! did I get snookered? or has the rate gone way up since I last had a set done about 10 years ago?

I don't bash bow shops that I know nothing about so all I'm going to say is you could have bought a fletcher for less than that.

last blazers I bought was like $0.12 each so yeah I think you got the shaft. I did have dealer try to sell me 1 foot of loop rope for $18 a while back.

when you fletch your own arrows you can experiment without costing a fortune

Do it yourself, I agree with the above comments, it is fun, you can make them however you want, and it is something to do during the off season. I bought a used fletching jig on ebay for $ 39, then bought glue, wraps, vanes, and stripper for less than that.

Most shops charge in the $2.50-$4.00 range to refletch. I have been doing my own for several years now because of it. I also shoot feathers on my indoor spot arrows and they will charge more to do feathers because it takes longer.
