Good article on target panic in the latest issue of Bow & Arrow Hunting. And they are now making back tension releases that are like a wrist strap release. I have had it for a long time and still have it. It comes and goes for me and i still struggle with it. it will affect your hunting also, so don't be fooled that if you have it on targets and practice you will have it in a hunting situation.

I have it and now it is really becoming a problem. I can raise up to just under the point I want to aim at and then I lock up. Also if I get the pin on the dot I jump. I am having more and more problems with this. I have tried in the past to do the blank target shooting up close and I will start there again and see if that helps.

I fight with this same problem from time to time and I shoot with my eyes closed all the way out to 20 yards and work at visualising the target. Helps me a bunch and I am suprised how well I can shoot with my eyes closed. This also helps you to follow through and make the shot more of a automatic response.
