When I did the soldering the second time I used a very fine solder, .022", and it made a world of difference. Worked much better. The light isn't quite as bright as I would like, but none are when you add the red filter. I might see if I can upgrade the bulb to a brighter bulb with more lumens. jOnly thing I have left is add a piece of velco to the switch and to the back of the riser on my bow. After painting it black I decided to add a little flare to it. I painted it in OD green then picked a marigold stem from the flower bed and added a little camo, just in case.

Originally posted by Blast-n-cast View PostI used the tact switch. I also used shrink wrap on both ends of the wire to protect and make it a little sturdier.
Below are some pics of my completed light. I liked the idea of having the switch completely enclosed with the shrink wrap for a cleaner look. So I used my soldering iron to make a hole large enough so as not to impede the push button on the tactical switch. I used a drop of super glue to keep the end of the shrink wrap closed. The wire that I used was just some old speaker wire that I had laying around. I am not sure of the gauge, but it was big enough to make for a very tight fit inside the tube of the flashlight.
