Anyone made a DIY brass dryer?

I received a new rotary tumbler for Christmas. Was thinking of ways to dry the brass afterwards. My first thought was a rack in a Rubbermaid tote with my boot dryer in it as well to circulate warm air. Any other suggestions?

A dishwasher rack out in the sun would work but I don't wet tumble. Dry tumble with Crushed walnut shells.

Wait til summer lol. I have used a jerky dehydrator and it worked fine and quick. I also dump it in a towel and roll it end to end and that works pretty good too.

Use the oven until you can buy a $25 dehydrator.

I use the towel method. Bunch up the ends then lift one end up so that the brass tumbles down to the other end. Repeat as needed. Doesn't completely dry the brass but speeds it up a lot.

I use a towel and try to get most of the moisture out , then in the oven ! If you don’t dry them with a towel first you will be ticked off at the water stains left on them after just heating them. But if you don’t mind stains then go for it.

I use compressed air to remove most of the water. Then finish in a thrift shop toaster oven.

These days especially, saving $ is difficult for a lot of folks. But if you can save some $ or have $73 to spare, the Lyman Cyclone case dryer is so worth it. That’s what I use and it’s absolutely worth it.

Compressed air to get the majority of the water out. Then if it's sunny lay them on a towel out in the sun. Or lay on a towel and set a fan or forced air heater up to blow across the brass.

I just use an old dehydrator my uncle had and never used. Works great. Probably find one cheaper than making one

Used Academy gift card and bought a dehydrator , it’s drying the first load of brass now
