I built this firepit entertainment relaxation area last summer. Cushion storage and firewood storage. Looking forward to landscaping this spring.

Nah, fill it to the brim with water and then let it drain and dry and do t worry about a thing!

As far as design, look into some of the videos online of the DIY smokeless fire pits. After sitting around someone’s Solo stove pit, I don’t think I’ll ever use a regular fire pit again. You would probably end up using the straight body of the propane tank rather than the ends for something like that. I don’t have the space for a fire pit, or I’d be tinkering on one right now!

My wife’s pet project up at the farm. We joke that it can double as a bunker when the sheet hits the fan. It will be lined inside with fire bricks and stones on the outside. We got some good advice already from you jokers regarding the chimney - going to be an old school looking riveted pipe.

Estimated time of completion…winter 2026! Lol. Go big it go home!

Im about to start on a propane one this weekend. As its going under my covered patio so i dont want the smoke. I plan to make it out of a 80 gallon concrete trough i bought. going to make my own burner as well. Plan to sit it up on some i beams and weld a foot rail around it to raise it up just a little.

Make it so it sets on the ground. Your feet stay cold otherwise.
