Sort of a DIY tip. Hose repair

I had a 3/4" garden hose that got damaged and started leaking.
I went to Lowes to get one of those barbed brass repair fittings.

    Over $6 for the 3/4"
Saw this Sharkbite PEX fitting for a little over $3.

It is marked "one inch", but it works on the ¾" hose (with hose clamps).

Thanks for the money saving tip! Between gophers, wife’s pet pigs, and my new pup, I almost have more into repairing hoses than I do the actual hose itself.

        That's great.

For 1/2" hose, I use a piece of 1/2" copper with hose clamps. Works perfectly.

That and a couple of hose clamps should make for a good repair.

            Thanks for the tip.

I need to try this. I have a heavy duty hose that got a hole burned in it. Tried the Flexseal, but it was worthless.

My husband wanted to try Flexseal on a leaky fountain. I told him it wouldn’t work, and it didn’t. Love this tip for repairing damaged garden hoses. I’ve had people at my house for the last three weeks installing new landscaping and my hoses are the worst for west.
