    Laser engraving / cutting

With my wife being "crafty", and many big family events coming up, I pulled the trigger on a laser engraver / cutter.
One of the projects that I really like doing is laser etching on white ceramic tile.

I am partially (some would state fully) color blind. I like the black and white results. Attached are two tiles that I did. 12/31/2021 when my Daughter got engaged (Yes, the young man did ask me to dinner and did ask for permission - his folks raised him well). The other one is an engagement photo.

I got the X-TOOL D1 Pro. I was looking at the OTUR (spelling?) model, but chose the X-TOOL. While it does come with software to operate it, I am using the paid version of LightBurn (<>$60.00 a year). All in for the engraver (I did get the air assist for cutting up to 6mm plywood) - I am at <>$700.00

I have cut out signs / plaques for an engagement party, cheerleading events.... Daughters and Wife keep me and the machine running!
