Very nice! Are you planning to put a roof back on it or leave it open?

The roof that it came with was exceptionally squeaky so it’s not going back on. Honestly, I don’t see that much use for it at this point - one more thing to bang your barrel on when entering/exiting.

Battery, charger, voltage reducer, and state of charge meter was $2,600. Don’t tell my wife.

Do you think that upgrade was worth it?

Zero doubt in my mind. Here’s my logic: a good set of lead acid is $1,000-$1,300. They last about half as long and they require a lot more maintenance (monthly-ish vs. none with the lithium). My pack has an 8 year warranty. The lead acid range is probably 2/3 or half that of lithium at the beginning but will degrade over time. The lead batteries also weigh 300 pounds more than my pack does. Lastly, since it came with an on board charger, you can just plug it in anywhere - no need to lug around the big charger box. I think it’s a no brainer if you have the dough.

Great build Dchilds. Not trying to hijack your thread, but me and a buddy are doing a DS limo right now.

Where’d you get that diamond patterned flooring?
