    Anyone like to whittle?

I used to enjoy it when I was a child and recently decided to try and take up the hobby again. Who else? Any tips? Feel free to show off your work and or resources.

Hope you get some traction here. I don’t whittle but based on the skill sets around here I’d be willing to bet we have some talented TBHers that do!

My father in-law has made a working pair of pliers before but we are not sure where he put them before he passed away.

I used to whittle when I was in the navy because a friend got me into it, but I haven't done it almost 30 years. I can't believe it's been that long.

Nothing fancy, just an impulse I went through. I made time for it and turned out some pretty neat things. Just didn't invest in proper tools and make it a proper hobby. Just something I did when I got motivated to do it.
(Dremel tool, sander, and exacto stuff)

It kinda started with Pinewood derby with my boys.
3 boys, 5yrs in age apart = 15yrs of PWD. Glad when it was over.

Then dabbled in duck decoys (some are scraps from pinewood derby cars)

My painting skills suck so I ended up "antiquing" the final wedgeon and quit.

At a week long boy scout camp, I did whittle on this as I followed the boys around to their activities.
