What to do with a feral hog tail?

I shot a decent hog in Oklahoma about six weeks ago and cut the tail off to bring home for tanning. Once I was home, I skinned out the tail, scraped off any remaining meat, and salted it down real good for a week. Then I washed it off and rubbed in Borax as a better preservative than just salt. After several minutes of rubbing in borax, I added a little leather oil. I decided to put the tail on my Howard Hill back quiver. To do this, I took an antler burr and polished it up, drilled a couple of holes, and wallah. Won't mean a whole lot to most folks, but it brings back some great memories every time I look at it.

Looks great. My neighbor tans every deer tail, coon tail, squirrel tail, etc. His son's bike has about 3 tails hanging from the handle bars!!!!!!!!!!

I never thought I would find a hog tail attractive, but I really like what you have done. Looks good.
