I know this was posted a while ago and you may or may not have purchased this CHEAP chuck. This is just my opinion. I have only been turning 3 years but having turned a lot of stuff one thing I have learned is a chunk of wood spinning at 300-2000 rpm or more if not held very securely and it comes flying off a chuck (expensive, cheap or in between) can do a lot of damage to a persons body always use the best quality you can afford use all the safety gear you have and be careful. poorly made chucks have a habit of not holding and that is a recipe for a BAD DISASTER.
