Wife wanted a hall tree to match the shiplap walls that I did in our living room. I’m definitely not a woodworker by trait, I acquired some cool tools while remodeling our house myself and credit YouTube for free lessons lol. I made it entirely out of 2x4’s and 2x6’s. I cut a 5/16” dado into the “styles” to slide the left over 1/4” shiplap into. I was going to just have 3 hangers but we moved one down for our son to hang his backpack on and have to pick up two more and some totes for the bottom. Every was pocket screwed together and it turned out rock solid and wife approved lol.

Turned out great. And the deer next to it isn't too shabby either.

That really looks good and matches well! Momma oughta be real happy. One question: did you make the little star chingadeerie on the end or did you buy that separate?
