    Polaris Ranger Bed Extender

I have a jumper seat in the back of my ranger that takes up alot of the cargo area so I decided I wanted a bed extender to try and gain some of it back. Well I searched and there isnt much out there so I fabbed this up last weekend. Pretty simple and cheap. Made it out of 3/4" and 1/2" EMT, so I probably have less than $20 in it. It could be done even cheaper if you have a tubing bender, however I purchased 90deg bends and welded them on.

Looks great. Where (or what) did you attach the extender to?

I drilled a hole that lines up with the tail gate latch, then I run a 3/8" bolt through it, thread on a nut until there is about a half inch of threads sticking out then I use that part of bolt to latch in to the gate latch. To get it off you have to unthread the bolt. I do plan to come up with a better design for the latch but for now it works.

And all this time I thought you could only do it on paper!

Looks good, and it looks like the passengers approve too!
