Whelp. Was supposed to deliver the truck to Joe at Tarleton this past Sunday. Was ready to head out, rolled window down to adjust mirror and the dang window wouldn’t go back up. Ended up having to replace the switch and put a new pigtail harness on it.

Was able to get the truck to Joe this afternoon. When he comes home next time, we’ll spray the bumpers with bed liner and paint the grill and headlight bezels black. Trying to talk him into paint the mirrors black as well.

What a fantastic thread and project with your son. Great job all the way around! I love the color. Hell, I love the whole **** thing.

People that have trucks sitting at the dealer with no parts available should take note. I'm sure you can get any part for that truck.

yes sir. Parts are readily available and relatively cheap!

…and it doesn’t take a computer to fix it!

Delivered the truck to him last Thursday. Monday he called me and said it wouldn’t start and sounded like the starter. Drive down Tuesday to change the starter in his apartment’s parking lot in pouring rain. Get the starter off and see there’s about 5 missing teeth on the flywheel 🤦‍♂️. I didn’t have the time or tools with me to fix, so onto the wrecker it went and to a local shop to be fixed. He picked it up yesterday and said it’s starting better than it ever has.

                    Old trucks…aren’t they great 😂
