Steering wheel is all finished and installed. I think it turned out pretty good. Same stain and varnish I used in the seat console. The only good thing I can ast about the seat is that the wood matches the steering wheel 😂

Joe also put a personalized touch under the Silverado emblems.

Console and steering wheel wood look great! I like that Redneck emblem, too.

I would get some of this in the color you want for the seats.

In regards to that seat, I’ve seen those in older suburbans

It’s been a while since I updated. Truck has been running well. Son just left for college and was hoping to have a few things done before he left but didn’t get them all done. One of the main things was the seat. My brother works at one of the TDC units in Huntsville. He took the seat to the prison to have it reupholstered. Inmates put new foam, painted the frame, and recovered with the fabric Joe picked out. I think it turned out pretty nice. Let me know what y’all think.

Just noticed it been a year since updating. Joe just started his second year at Tarleton and the truck has been here at the house. He drove it daily over the summer while he was home. This summer we replaced the heater core, put in new window motors, and got the AC fixed. We also sprayed the bed with liner and finally got it painted. I’ll be taking it to him in Stephenville this weekend. He decided he wanted black bed rails and caps, and a black toolbox. To save money we painted the existing and I’ll have them on before taking it to him. When he’s home next time, he wants to bedline the bumpers and black out the grill and remaining chrome.
