My brother-in-law used to make his own trusses by bowing drill stem and then welding a bottom cross piece (horizontal) to "hold the bow" . He would put the bow in with either a come-along or a chain fall. Then he would add a the horizontal piece and a couple of vertical braces , if that makes sense.

Run your purlin perpendicular to pipe truss. Run r-panel side to side. I have been involved with building free span hay sheds 40x80 using 2 7/8 upset tubing for truss material and posts. The number of truss supporting angle braces depends on anticipated loading. I built some trusses years ago (1972) that were 90’ long on the bottom and used 4 joints scred together on the arch, I felieve the center of the arch was about ‘ above the lower. I think we had 4 or 6 angle supports on each side of center upright. You can probably see them still at the Chevy dealership shop in Goldthwaite.

If you want arched R panel(we call it tuff rib around here) there is a machine that can run the panels to the arch you want.

My local supplier(Greentree Metals) did one a few years ago.

They had to lease the machine to do it. It's expensive.

Apparently there is a bit of a learning curve to run the machine. Pun intended.
