The trigger has some travel then hits the wall and breaks at 2 lbs. Is this normal when you do the trigger upgrade.

Mountain Tactical sells upgraded (titanium?) recoil lugs. I don’t believe a lighter spring makes it ‘2-stage’ but I don’t know first hand.

Mine is 7mm mag, and a Sims AirTech pad took all the recoil shoulder pain away.

My other Tikka T3 has the trigger adjusted to the lowest and doesn't have any travel and brakes clean. With this one there is some travel then hits the wall and brakes a little lighter than my other Tikka without the upgraded trigger spring. Makes it seem like a two stage trigger but is not. I think that this one also has the upgraded recoil lug. Immediately after the paint job I also installed the Limbsaver AirTech precision recoil pad and it does make a diffrence.

Well Guys I just found out that the trigger is a two stage and it’s the one that comes with the Tikka T3x Tac A1. It’s taking me some time to get used to it. So far after sight-in, the rifle did good with the 162 gr Eld-X Hornady Precision Hunter and the 6” target at 100 yards.

I shoot Barnes Vortec (copper) in my T3. The rifle ‘likes’ them. Tine to get it out and shoot if I can’t get a Montana elk with a bow in the next 2 weeks.
