That's a great idea, we have one in our house upstairs that never gets used. I have insulation laying over it in the attic to keep heat from coming through.

I would also use such a fan. Did you just remodel the old one or did you buy all the parts with new ones and made the desired design yourself?

I built the box/cage for it a long time ago. We recently planned to take it with us to a Cook-off and decided it needed a "Make-over"

i love my swamp cooler fan this time of year
open the downstairs window and crank it on, the whole house is fresh and cool in minutes
