Thanks everyone. No doubt that it's a lot of work and time getting the wood to this stage. I cut his particular oak a little over 3 years ago. Its been stickered in my shop since and like texastaxi stated the moisture going to get better than 8%-9% air dried. I did skip plane a lot of it reducing its thickness last year to help with drying. I milled some pecan recently and will soon take it and have it kiln dried to help speed the process up.

The lift was my father's and he it in the working with AC units in the 1970's. I have used it a lot over the years and its way up here on the usefullness chart. It's been a changer for sure.


I did cut the trees for this off my place which does adds to he background of this build.

Did get started on the linen cabinet. Final size is going to be 32" wide, 24" deep and 8ft tall. I decided to use oak veneer plywood for th car sides, back, dividers but will try to get some character wood for the face frame and doors.

Working on building the linen cabinet to complete the set. Here is the main box , it’s domestic red oak veneer plywood. I made the face frame with my oak which is in the white oak family.




Dry fitting it before I go any further. Will take it back to my shop and work on the drawer and doors today

No sir , we are thinking either granite or quartz for this.

I got started on the doors, lots of pieces machined and ready for assembly right after I get the raised panels made.

I didn’t get any clear poly sprayed on it yet but the linen closet is almost done. This thing got real heavy after adding the solid panel doors.

Looks awesome for sure, but one thing. I am not a professional, will bathroom humidity somehow cause problems with doors stuck in the future?
