I was gonna do regular padding and carpet with a rug over top. I usually kick my boots off when I get in, but it’s tougher for dad and our older crew to do that. I’m thinking about sticking down something cheap and throwing a rug down that’s easy to replace every few years.

Starting to put together a list to do the trim. Since the weather changed, that paneling has A LOT of wave in it since last week, so a little more trim may help hold it down. May be ready to ship it in a few weeks.[emoji15]

There was a shelf in the old blind that this one is gonna replace, I painted the front stiffener white hoping people would see it and not hit their heads. Everyone hit their heads on it anyway, then started writing their names on it when they set there. I want it in the new blind, so I took it out of the old one this weekend.

It has some notable names and dates, and a bunch of other good friends.





When I got it out of the truck tonight, I found an old note I had left to myself. Back then, I added the shelf after the fact, and obviously didn’t know the exact length it needed to be until I got out there.

Got the old shelf shortened up and hung.


Got the “shooting” shelf in too, and supporting gussets.
