Just bought a new Mule 4010 Trans and was going to get the factory plastic roof but it wasn’t rated for highway travel so I looked for a metal roof and didn’t take long to figure out I didn’t want to pay 800 and up for a roof. After looking online I didn’t find too many roof projects so I looked at 1 YouTube video and a bunch of metal roofs and this is what I’m building.
Overall size
65” L x 60” W
I cut the plywood 30” and used Dow rods to glue pieces together and then put a 10” piece running with the seam in the middle.
4” sides and 3” back so bed will still tilt with roof on.
The front has a 45 degree slope to help with the wind.
I put a few gussets to help with strength and I put 6 pieces of plywood on sides where the top roll cage hits and that’s where I will mount my pipe straps.
Below is a few progress pictures and after I finish I will update and show it’s strong enough to stand on
