So, between the cooler and the Gunner Kennel there’s no room left in my ranger for all my other gear. With dove season approaching I needed a solution and searched the internet. I had seen the quack rack before so I was gonna snag one, But the 1800.00 price tag was foolish to me. Trip to the metal store and a quick phone call to my CNC buddy and it was time to fire up the mig.
Here is the Quack Rack, it’s a really great idea and lots of options for transporting gear but 1800, come on

Here is my mock up before sheet metal and rhino liner

And the final product.

I used lock and ride connectors to secure it to the bed, and a 12v quick connect plug for the lights; so it can be removed in about a minute. It worked extremely well for opening day, dove stools and bags could be placed up top and all four corners will carry Mojos. Rear lights worked great for setting everything up after the Ranger was tucked into the Mesquites. Should really work well for duck season as it will hold four dozen decoys on the side brackets. Had a lot of fun building and have around 400.00 in it. Thanks for reading
