Cutting aluminum diamond plate.

    Is diamond plate stronger than sheet aluminum same gauge
    I.E could I drop a size or two to save weight on a build with out sacrificing anything
    Are the welded seems any different?

      You can use a Skilsaw or jigsaw. Mark or scribe your line then spray line with WD-40 or any of the other spray lube oils then cut. It will cut very easily. Wear safety glasses or goggles.

        l cut 1/8th Aly plate all the time with my skilsaw with a carbide blade for my bowishing/flounder gigging platform all the time. No lube, just go slow. Oh wear ear and eye protection shavings go everywhere.

            For straight cuts I use a plywood blade turned backwards in a skilsaw. Noisy but it works.
