We had a good weekend getting some stuff done. We received the new gas tank and we got it installed. We have the carpet all installed and finished. We put the new battery tray in and cleaned up some of the wiring under the hood. We put a new air cleaner on and changed the spark plugs. We have all the trim back on the truck and he pulled it out to wash it up.
We just ordered the seatbelts and I am going to order the original mirrors for it. I have ordered two different sets to try and make something work since they had welded up the holes when it was painted red and white but I have decided to grind them out and go back to what I know will fit, or at least hope? We need to fix the exhaust leak, sounds like it’s coming from the rubber gasket where the manifold and exhaust bolt together and change either the oil pan or transmitter pan gasket, maybe both.
The bed floor company told me today they should ship it out early next week. If we get all of our stuff in we are going to try and haul it up to the car show that our town puts on for founders day on the 11th of May. This is our target date to have it road ready but we will probably have to be working all the way down to the last min to make it.

Few more pictures. I will be anxious the next few weeks, looking forward to the parts coming in and getting it on the road. We will still have a list of stuff to do to it but he can at least drive it back and forth to work at that point. We repurposed the old “seat cover” and warped the tank with it.
      Thanks for following along

We had a pretty good weekend. Started off pulling the wheels off to check the brakes. While we had them off we repacked the front bearings and sanded and painted the brake drums. We replaced the window seals to hold the window from rattling while you drive it down the road and I I was able to get the manifold bolts out that go to the exhaust and replaced the gasket. Finally getting to start the truck and hear the sound of the dual exhaust and not the tick, tick from the exhaust leak did put a smile on my face! We adjusted the carburetor and replaced the spark plug wires.
This is going to be an anxious week for us. Starting tomorrow we should receive his new wheels and tires. He has no clue I even ordered them so I hope to have them bolted on by the time he gets home. The seat belts will be here Tuesday and hope to get the mirrors in before the weekend. I will message the bed floor company in the morning and hope to hear that they either already shipped it or will be shipping it in time for us to receive it on or before Friday. We are still hoping to be taking it to its first car show this weekend we just hope all the necessary parts arrive!
I will post pics as the week goes and the parts are installed, thanks for following along.

They are Ridler 695’s, they will be staggered 20x8.5 and 20x10. I will post a picture as soon as I get them on.

What a great job Dad. This was the exact truck I drove for my first vehicle. Looking good!

He has came around some on the idea but if we do it, it will be down the road. I love the stance of Grulla’s truck he posted here.

KC95GT- It is a short bed. That was one of the selling points for me. I don’t mind long beds but I prefer the look of the short beds.
Need a 2-4 or 3-5 drop now and it will look killer.
