I tig weld all my projects. MiG is a little sloppy on the detailed work.

Yah, I figured the tacks were tigged seeing that there's not any spatter marks on the raw material fit up pic. Lotta folks on here spool gun they're work. And couldn't really see the welded joints with the paint and distance of the pic. Tig-n is the only way to go IMHO. Much more precise . 4043?

I like that idea! Aluminum and I never got along that well, probably gave up on learning to weld it too soon.
